Logopak International Ltd is a UK subsidiary to Logopak Systeme, Europe’s leading manufacturer of Print and Apply labelling systems. Our machinery is used in different manufacturing industries such as Food and Beverage, Glass, Paper, Automotive and also Ecommerce distribution centres producing mail order shipping labels etc.
As our Scottish customer base has expanded over the last 30 years, we are now looking for a Field Service Engineer probably living around Glasgow to cover mainly Scotland. However, occasional work in Ireland or northern England may be required to support our local field service engineers located around the UK.
The applicant for this position should have an electromechanical background, be fully conversant with modern electronic systems and have the ability to fault find down to component level.
You will be able to demonstrate an ability to read and understand engineering drawings along with electrical drawings to aid in fault finding and functionality.
As our systems are computer based, a good understanding of PCs is essential and any experience on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) would be a distinct advantage. Applicants should ideally also have grounding in light mechanics and pneumatics, however, some training will be given in these areas.
This daily variation particularly suits those who enjoy meeting different people, viewing different factories and processes rather than fixed inside at the same place of work each day.
On days where travel to customer’s locations is not required, the applicant would work from home to assist our telephone support team assisting with telephone support and customer’s requirements / modifications.
• To carry out commissioning / installation / servicing and repairs to our machinery at our clients sites
• To provide onsite training covering the maintenance and operation of our machines
• To provide product improvement and new machine sales opportunity feedback
• To communicate effectively with your colleagues in field service planning, commercial and engineering departments
• To be able to deal confidently and professionally with customer personnel on site
• To report accurately and on a timely basis on all service visits, with accountability for van stocks of components and spare parts
• To account accurately and on a timely basis for expenses incurred
