Based in York, we are currently looking for a full time Engineering Stores Person and also a full time Service Administrator to join our team at our head office on Clifton Moor. See below for details of each job:


ENGINEERING STOREPERSON

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Previous stock control / stores experience ideally within an engineering enviroment

Experience working with SAGE200 or similar ERP stock control systems
Ability to work as part of a team and on your own
Required education, skills and qualifications
A natural attention to detail
A proactive and flexible working attitude
UK Driving license

YOU MUST BE:

Numerate, conscientious and methodical
Able to work in a polite, efficient and professional way even when working to tight deadlines
Highly organised with the ability to plan own workload
IT Literate – MS Office – Outlook / Word /Excel

ROLE INFORMATION:

The successful candidate will have experience within an engineering stores environment with a good overview of mechanical / electrical components identifying parts from measurements or CAD engineering drawings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Physical and electronic movement of stock
Purchase of items from suppliers from purchase order to GRN
Supply of items to customers from sales order quotations to despatch note
Physical checking of goods in items upon receipt of delivery
Chase up and report any exceptions relating to receipt and dispatch of goods
Manage and maintain van stock levels
Setting and maintaining minimum / maximum stock levels
Tracking delivery of parts
Dealing by telephone or email with customer spares parts enquiries including part identification
Producing recommended spare parts lists
Packing items into boxes or onto pallets
Unload / load boxes or pallets to and from courier vehicles
Maintain a tidy and clean organised stores environment
Undertake stock takes for stores and engineer’s vehicles
Occasional deliveries and collections
General building maintenance and repair as and when required

SERVICE ADMINISTRATOR

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Experience of dealing with customers by telephone and email
Experience working with SAGE200 or similar ERP systems
Ability to work as part of a team and on their own
Good numerical and literacy skills

YOU MUST BE:

Must be organised and efficient
Ability to work in polite, efficient and professional way even when working to tight deadlines
Proactive and able to demonstrate a flexible working attitude
Previous stock control / stores experience ideally with an engineering background
IT Literate – MS Office – Outlook / Word /Excel

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TYPICAL DUTIES:

Order processing, both purchasing and sales for Service, Spare Parts, New Machine Orders etc.
Service Agreements – Invoicing and scheduling of days
Organise and manage service paperwork for Customers
Working with Service Managers to plan the Engineering calendar
Answering telephone and dealing with enquiries
Booking hotels, flights etc.
Actively chasing purchase order numbers for visits and work needed after visit
Provide admin support as required
